Monica Beate Tvedt Appointed as New Group CTO at Forte Digital
Tvedt is now part of Forte Group, the holding company that oversees Forte Digital in the markets of Norway, Poland, Germany, Denmark, Austria, and Switzerland. As Group CTO, Tvedt will be responsible for developing and overseeing the technology strategy across Forte Group.
– With the rise of an increasing number of international clients, there will be a greater need moving forward to develop and implement a unified technology strategy that supports business growth across all regions. Over the past five years, Monica has been instrumental in building what we consider to be Norway's leading technology environment. Her extensive knowledge and expertise will greatly benefit all markets. She will be essential in securing and advancing Forte's culture across all markets, says John Kårikstad, Group CEO at Forte Digital.
In her role as Group CTO, Tvedt will ensure that Forte Digital remains at the forefront of digital innovation, particularly in AI, digital platforms, and product development. Additionally, Monica will play a key role in fostering a cohesive technology culture, driving collaboration, and supporting skill development across international teams and offices. Tvedt has previous leadership experience from Sopra Steria.
Today, Forte Group has more than 350 employees across all its markets.
– I have been incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to help build one of Norway’s most robust technology environments. We have created what I believe is a unique culture of expertise within technology, with strong professional communities and talented people. Now I look forward to advancing this culture, finding valuable synergies, and building a united and stronger Forte Digital across all the countries where we have offices.
Our ambition is for Forte Digital to be the company that guides clients through the AI revolution
European Powerhouse in Artificial Intelligence
Tvedt will have a special responsibility for leading Forte Digital’s new major initiative in artificial intelligence across Europe. The ambition is to collaborate with Europe’s largest and most forward-thinking companies in AI. She believes Forte Digital has unique qualifications to succeed. Currently, Forte Digital assists major companies such as NorgesGruppen, Farmasiet, Mprise, Bauer Media, and Wort & Bild with their AI initiatives.
– Simply put, our ambition is for Forte Digital to be the company that guides clients through the AI revolution. It may sound grandiose, but we are indeed in the midst of a revolution, and there is not a single industry that will remain untouched by this technology. We aim to be there to help the largest European companies with this transformation and to maximize the value they derive from AI.
According to Forte Digital’s new study, Forte Pulse 2024, many companies are struggling with exactly this. The study shows, for example, that only 42 percent use predictive analytics to anticipate market trends or customer behavior.
Tvedt points out that artificial intelligence as a value driver thus remains sidelined in many businesses and lacks concrete use cases for innovation and revenue streams. Her message is: Start with the problem, not the technology.
– Explore problems and customer needs, not just the technology. AI is not a magic solution delivered by the technology department that will instantly create business value. For now, it is ‘just’ a powerful tool that enables businesses to create customer and business value by solving problems faster, better, and in new ways. With Forte Digital’s interdisciplinary approach to problem-solving, we are uniquely positioned to help large and ambitious clients achieve exactly this.
