Forte Digital acquires tech house Ombrello
The digital consultancy Forte Advice, Forte Digital's Denmark office, is taking a significant step toward fulfilling its growth ambitions. The acquisition and full integration of the senior-heavy IT consultancy Ombrello positions Forte Advice as a primary technology partner for the country’s largest companies.
100 percent growth within the next two years. This is the ambitious goal of Forte Advice, and now the digital consultancy is taking a major step to achieve it. This comes with the full acquisition of the Danish development house Ombrello, whose clients include companies such as MobilePay and ISS.
With the acquisition, Forte Advice is integrating Ombrello's entire organization of experienced web developers in Denmark and Ukraine, who bring strong skills in digital strategy work, technical consulting, and the implementation of particularly complex technological solutions.
The deep technological expertise on platforms such as Sitecore DxP, Umbraco, Optimizely, and Sanity is, according to Forte Advice's CEO Jesper Nørding Pedersen, an ideal enhancement of the company's existing ability to turn clients' platform strategies into solutions, with a strong focus on digital responsibility.
At the same time, this move reinforces the ambition to create a strong, international technology environment that can attract the brightest digital talents.
"We’re seeing that customers increasingly choose us due to our strong strategic consulting on architecture and long-term collaborations around development expertise. We are strengthening these areas with the integration of Ombrello, which gives us a better foundation to become the primary technology partner for the country’s largest companies and advise on how to transform their digital business into a cloud-based, modular architecture," says Jesper Nørding Pedersen.
A strong, unified development environment
The full integration of Ombrello means they will now form a central part of Forte Advice's technology department. This department will now be led by Ombrello’s CEO, Rasmus Kirkegaard Mortensen, who will take on the role of Director of Technology with responsibility for the entire development team.
This solution is entirely natural for both parties, who tested the collaboration on two global projects before the acquisition. It became clear that they share both workflows and values.
"We see a perfect match in terms of competencies, ambitions, and culture. We are excited to become part of an environment that understands our deep technological expertise in implementing complex solutions. Together, we can deliver an even broader range of digital solutions, such as data visualization and artificial intelligence, where Forte Advice has a strong environment across countries," says Rasmus Kirkegaard Mortensen.
Shared commitment to digital responsibility
In addition to shared workflows, both organizations are committed to principles that emphasize developing responsible digital solutions with respect for the climate, society, and the individual user.
This was recently demonstrated in a joint solution for the Australian company Fortescue, which is undergoing a green transition with major investments in hydrogen production. Here, the choice largely fell on Forte Advice and Ombrello due to their commitment to digital responsibility and their ability to deliver solutions in complex technological landscapes.
This shared commitment to digital responsibility also plays a key role in achieving their ambitions – both in terms of revenue and attracting new employees.
"Society is shifting towards companies taking responsibility for both the planet and the individual user. As a result, we’re seeing increased interest from customers in digitally responsible products. At the same time, there’s a great sense of pride among employees in contributing to these kinds of solutions," says Jesper Nørding Pedersen.
